BREAKING NEWS: WORLD RECORD HOLDER – ROBBEN ISLAND SWIM: Being brave in the waves

World record holder, Howard Warrington, will be swimming his 160th Robben Island to Blouberg crossing on 30 September, to raise funds for Heartlands Baby Sanctuary, based in Somerset West. The sea temperature ranges from 10 to 14 degrees, and Howard only swims in a Speedo.  
Lily the gorgeous dog, goes on all excursions and is the `shark spotter’.

The swimmers have all been challenged to raise R5 000 each – how can you help?

OCTOBER 5TH: OPEN DAY AT HEARTLANDS: 08h30 – 16h00

Please visit us on our next OPEN DAY, when we allow children under the age of 18 to go through the Sanctuary. You will most certainly be amazed at the behind-the-scenes activity, including our sustainability projects. You are welcome any time from 08h30 – 16h00. OCTOBER 21ST – 22ND:  Distance 4 Difference (D4D)

We are fortunately one of the beneficiaries of Distance for Difference – an organisation that challenges cyclists to cycle as much as they can over a 24-hour period. This is taking place at Waterstone Virgin Active.

Sponsorship of holes are 100% tax-deductible, so why give to the tax-man when you can help an abandoned, neglected, orphaned, neglected and sick child to get a 2nd chance at life.

20th - 22nd May 2022

A literary festival dedicated to only children's literature - but for adults and children alike. Get lost in the world of storytelling with authors from all over the world over these 2 compelling days. And we have some celebs lined up too so watch this space.
The event will be held at Heartlands Baby Sanctuary from 09h00 10h00 – 16h00 Fri, Sat and Sun. All COVID protocols will be observed. Only R50 per day, children under 10 12 free. Children to be attended by adults at all times. There will be no Ticket sales at the gate, or bring your Quicket ticket along. Lot’s of children’s entertainment too!
