Due to the intensity of the services that we offer, we have 38 full time staff and 3 relief workers. These are costs that cannot be `donated-in-kind’ and thus your financial contribution will help us considerably in meeting the needs of the children.
As you can see from the below, there is a shortfall of over R7 000 per month per cot. As we have 25 cots, after government’s contribution (25%) and sustainability projects income (26%), our financial shortfall is over R2.2m per annum. Whilst we are extremely grateful for any once-off donation, we would sincerely like to appeal to you to please consider a monthly contribution.
This will go a very long way in helping us, not only with the Adopt-a-Cot expenses, but also with costs such as administration, electricity, phones, nappy removal and incineration (R4 500 per month!), petrol, security and the like.
